In an effort to relieve parking congestion and support downtown businesses, Downtown Employee Parking Permit hours have been extended to include Saturdays. Permit holders may now utilize the designated employee parking spaces from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays (not including holidays). Free public parking is available in these spaces outside of those hours.
The extension of permit parking restrictions to Saturdays will help reduce parking congestion for visitors as well as local businesses and their employees, especially during weekend events. The new signage was installed as part of the overall Downtown Wayfinding and Signage Project and areas in Lots 1-6, Park Avenue Lot, Montebello Lot, and the Southside Lot have been marked with updated signs that clearly designate the permit-only parking spaces.
