Update to Los Gatos Library Circulating Hotspot and Program On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the Los Gatos Library Circulating Hotspot program will end. Beginning November 15th, all existing hotspot holds will be canceled, and hotspots will no longer be able to be requested. Additionally, the mobile data plans on all Los Gatos Library hotspots will be discontinued as of December 1, 2024.
The hotspot lending program launched in August 2020 with special funding to assist residents during the pandemic. It was extended for an additional two years through support from the California State Library and the federal Emergency Connectivity Fund, but those funds have now been depleted. The 2024–2025 budget does not include funding to continue the program.
