Capital Improvement Program

Program Overview

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a comprehensive, five-year capital improvement plan designed to develop and identify projects and the associated funds required to adequately develop and maintain the town’s infrastructure and future capital projects.

CIP projects are broken into two categories: recurring and one-time. Some project descriptions are below. For a current list of projects being bid advertised, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and to view project details, plans, and specifications, go to Town of Los Gatos Procurement Portal on OpenGov.

Oak Meadow Park is a popular park and hosts a variety of community events, as well as many small private gatherings through the reservation process. To accommodate the increased need for programmable and reservable space, the area around the bandstand needs some improvements and modifications. This project will make improvements to the landscape and hardscape around the bandstand and improve other infrastructural needs to help make the area more programmable for weddings, musical events, and other community gatherings. Vegetation Management

The project creates wildland fire protection by clearing non-fire-resistant and hazardous vegetation growth to create defensible space and fire breaks near roadways, open space, and parks to create evacuation routes. Additional details may be found on the Vegetation Management webpage.
