The Law Enforcement Explorers Post is a volunteer program with the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. This program allows young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21 the opportunity to learn more about the criminal justice field, while serving their community. The program is service oriented. Explorers assist with clerical assignments, assist with traffic and crowd control, work alongside Police personnel at community events, and have the opportunity to ride with officers in the field.
In order to be admitted to the program, interested young people must maintain at least a "C" average in school, be of good standing in the community, and have no felony convictions. All Explorers must pass an interview and background investigation and complete an Explorers training, where they will be taught discipline and principals of law enforcement.
