Pledge of Allegiance Leaders

Are you a student who wants to practice their public speaking skills, be a part of democracy in action, and meet the Town Council?

Come lead the Pledge of Allegiance at a Town Council Meeting!

Each year, the Town Mayor invites a student to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at every regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting. There are two meetings each month, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (except for July recess). The time commitment is 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. the evening of the meeting.

At the meeting, the Mayor will introduce the student at the meeting with information about their academics, leadership, community service, sports, favorite subjects, and other interesting facts. The meeting is recorded and can be viewed by friends and family. Students will receive a commemorative cup filled with treats as a token of appreciation.

If you are interested in leading the Pledge of Allegiance, please complete this form and return it to Clerk@LosGatosCA.Gov.
