Parks & Public Works Corp. Yard (41 Miles Avenue)
The Town of Los Gatos is sponsoring the Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up Program in order to help protect the environment and keep the Town entrances pristine! This program will consist of monthly clean up days located at the Highway 17 exit 20B on and off circle ramps. Volunteers will meet at the Parks & Public Works Department, be given all appropriate safety equipment, and will be driven to the circle ramps by a trained staff member. All participants are required to attend one of the mandatory training sessions below:
Hike the Mt. Umunhum Trail to seek out and remove invasive species along the way. They will be shuttling into the trail so plan to arrive on time and be able to stay for the entire project. Reservations for this project will open March 1, 2019. Click here to learn more.

Balzer Field parking lot on Miles Avenue
Enjoy a leisurely-paced hike starting on the Los Gatos Creek Trail and continuing up to the Flume and Jones Trails with docents Kate Gudmundson, Laura Levin, and Paul Billig. An approximately 800-foot elevation gain will bring you from a lower riparian habitat area up to woodland and chaparral habitats. You'll have time to observe and learn about what influences both flora and fauna as you move from one habitat to another. Click here to learn more.

Come see wild animals up close, learn about their habitats and how you can help protect animals. Conservation Ambassadors is a non-profit organization that provides homes for displaced wild-life and provides community education for the continued preservation of these animals. A Nature Education and Exploration program for children and their parents or caregivers. They meet weekly in local parks and open spaces to engage with nature in an emerging curriculum, including: circle time, hiking, story time, art and/or early science projects, music and games. With an emphasis on the local flora and fauna, Naturalist and experience preschool teacher Ellen teaches many early education concepts through hands on experience in nature.
