NEW! Call for Artists to Exhibit Artwork in Town Exhibit Space

The Town is seeking local artists and local organizations that wish to exhibit their artwork.

The Town currently maintains two spaces for members of the community to exhibit artwork:

Art in the Council Chambers

The Town Council Chambers have the capacity to exhibit approximately 20 pieces of 2-dimentional artwork or objects.

Art in the Library

The Library has the capacity to exhibit small 3-dimensional objects up to 7 inches in height.

General Information

The Committee is advisory to the Town Council, and works to encourage the development of art, drama, music, and other creative activities in Los Gatos. The Commission shall make recommendations to the Town Council concerning public art, under the terms of the current Town Public Art Selection Policy and Procedure. Enabling Resolution (PDF)

The Commission's membership consists of:

  • Seven (7) adult voting members, whose terms of office shall be three (3) years
  • One (1) non-voting Youth Commissioner liaison, appointed by the Youth Commission, whose term of office shall be for one (1) year with no limitations on reappointments. 
  • One (1) adult member of the Commission shall be an arts professional, such as an artist, art historian, art administrator, museum professional, or architect. 

Meetings

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Los Gatos Library, 100 Villa Avenue, at 4:00 p.m. No meetings in March, July, or December of 2026.
