is Now Available Online

The agenda for the December 20, 2016 Town Council meeting is available online. Of the thirteen items on the agenda, the Town Council will be consider an appeal of a Planning Commission decision on Highland Avenue and another appeal on Hilow Road. In addition, Council will receive an update on the Almond Grove Phase II Project.

Town Council meetings are held regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street. Council meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15. Live and archived videos are also available online.

The Town welcomes public input on any Town Council agenda item. Please visit the Public Guide to Town Council Meetings to learn how members of the public may submit comments prior to the Council meeting at which the item will be considered. The public is also welcome to provide verbal testimony at the meeting.

Town of Los Gatos Annual Report

The Town of Los Gatos would like to share with you our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2015/16 and its budget insert.  The Report ( highlights the Town’s accomplishments from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 around the themes of public safety, community character, sustainability, and other topics.  The provision of these and many other Town services is ongoing.  The Town looks forward to continuing to engage with community members and other partners on Town matters. Request for Proposal: Real Estate Broker Services

The Town of Los Gatos is seeking proposals from real estate brokers to sell or lease four properties owned by the Town.  Two properties will be for sale and two properties will be available for lease. The selected broker will be required to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the Town to provide real estate services as outlined in the RFP, which is located HERE.

Downtown Parking Garage Update

The Town of Los Gatos prides itself in a vibrant and historic downtown. The downtown succeeds as a destination for shopping and dining for the region, the state, and the world. This success has led to a long standing and increasing need for off street parking. The Town Council has recently reemphasized the importance of this topic.

Next Steps – 

Town Staff will select an economic consultant to assist with evaluation of contract terms with Presidio Development.  This will occur in December 2016.  Following that, the negotiations with Presidio Development will take place.

The Town Council provided direction to staff on the next steps, including exclusive negotiations with Presidio Development to partner with the Town in construction of a mixed use parking garage and housing project that includes the following components:

  • 300 Parking Spaces

  • 20-24 Residential Units (including 6-9 Below Market Units)

  • Maintain mass and scale appropriate for the neighborhood

  • Supplement costs with up to $4M from the Town.

September 2015 – Request for Information

The Town seeks information from qualified private sector firms on public – private partnership opportunities that meet the demand for parking and which may also address other Town priorities. See the link below for Request for Information. The Town is open to a breadth of solutions and provides guidance in this RFI as to particular areas of interest.   

Council Ad Hoc Committee

The Town Council set up a special Ad Hoc Committee to study the potential for a downtown garage.  Information on the Committee meetings can be found here:
