The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is one of the most visible Town emergency preparedness programs, sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The 21-hour CERT Academy course offers training in disaster preparation response and recovery skills. Check out the Town CERT webpage for the 2023 CERT Academy dates at www.losgatosca.gov/128/CERT. There are also resources for volunteers who would like to help in a disaster but are not interested in taking the CERT training.
