Partnership
The Town of Los Gatos, in partnership with Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation, provides a comprehensive Senior Services program available to all Los Gatos residents age 55 and over. The Senior Services Program is housed in the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center, located at 208 East Main Street.
Why are senior services in Los Gatos provided by a partnership of two agencies? In short, to improve services to seniors. Both agencies have a proven track record of providing services to seniors; combining their proven abilities is an effective way to improve services to Los Gatos seniors while eliminating duplication and redundancy. Together, the Town and Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation can provide more time, staff, and resources to local seniors than either could alone.
Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation is a non-profit agency formed in 1956 through a joint powers agreement with the local school districts in Los Gatos and Saratoga. Its mission is to help build a healthy community by providing a wide range of education, recreation, and enrichment programs to the residents of Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, and neighboring mountain communities.
