Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission (DEIC)

General Information

The function of the Commission shall be to serve in an advisory capacity to the Town Council regarding matters pertaining to creating equitable opportunities and a sense of belonging within Town. The DEIC will be committed to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion across all sectors within the Town of Los Gatos and the purpose of DEIC is to work to create more equitable opportunities and increase a sense of belonging for all Los Gatos community members and visitors through community engagement and collaborative activities. The Commission consists of eleven (11) voting members:

Two (2) Youth Commissioners

One (1) Arts and Culture Commissioner 

One (1) Community Health and Senior Services Commissioner

One (1) Town of Los Gatos business owner and resident

One (1) Town of Los Gatos business owner or employee, who may or may not reside in Los Gatos

One (1) Town of Los Gatos faith leader who leads a congregation in Los Gatos, who may or may not reside in Los Gatos

One (1) Town of Los Gatos non-profit employee, who may or may not reside in Los Gatos

Three (3) Town of Los Gatos residents as voting members


Meetings

The Commission will meet monthly, on the first Monday of each month in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street, at 5:30 p.m. The Staff Liaison is Holly Young, Senior Management Analyst.
