Join the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno CERT and DART for an Annual Drill on

Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 10AM - 12PM

What to Expect:  During this drill our CERT and DART teams will be partnering with Ares/Races and San Jose Water to open a drive-thru CPOD and distribute water to our residents.

What is a CPOD?  Community Points of  Dispensing, are community locations in which state and local agencies dispense needed items to the public during a public health emergency.

As a volunteer (CERT and DART)

  • How to open and run a CPOD and how it would benefit the community in the event of a disaster
  • CERT’s will experience  working with mutual aide partners to distribute water to local residents via a drive thru set-up
  • You will receive a reusable water bag to add to your emergency kit

Drive-thru Participants:

  • Will receive a reusable water bag
  • Arrive at the point of dispensing (LG Calvary Church Northside Parking  area) and be directed to drive thru the parking area
  • This is a quick practice drill to educate our community and our   volunteer responders on how a CPOD is set-up and run and how our residents can pick-up needed items in an emergency
