The 2009 Second Chance Day Donation Drive was held on Saturday, October 10th at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center. The Los Gatos Community once again came together to diverte waste and help others in our community and throughout Silicon Valley. This year, we collected over 1.5 tons of clothing, toiletries, eyeglasses, linens and more. Thank you for your support of this community event!

Second Chance Day is a grassroots public awareness campaign held each fall to promote reuse, repair and donation opportunities. This event is a valuable part or our community as it embraces the spirit of community giving and addresses our sustainability issues by diverting waste from local landfills. Do your part by donating items at this year's Second Chance donation drive.
Please donate only those items listed below that are clean and in good condition. Your donations will be given to St. Luke’s Pantry Program, EHC Lifebuilders, InnVision, Career Closet, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence and the Humane Society. These are local agencies that provide shelter and related services. Donated eyeglasses will go to the Los Gatos Lions Club’s “Lions in Sight” program, which donates refurbished glasses to people in third world countries.
