Los Gatos Creek Trail
This 10 mile trail offers opportunities for pedestrians, hikers, bicyclists, skaters and nature lovers. The complete trail extends from Lexington Reservoir above Los Gatos all the way to Meridian Avenue in San Jose. Still a work in progress, the trail will eventually end at confluence with the Guadalupe River in downtown San Jose.
The Los Gatos segment of this trail has several access points:
– East Main Street at College Avenue
A wide dirt trail that leads to Lexington Reservoir (1.8 miles) or the St. Joseph's Hill Open Space Preserve to the south. Northward the trail heads towards Forbes Mill, the footbridge, Old Town, Vasona and on to San Jose. On street parking only.
– Miles Avenue
A paved trail which leads you south to Old Town, to access the Lexington Reservoir/Dam trail. North the trail takes you to Oak Meadow Park and Vasona County Park (1.2 miles). On site parking is available along with restrooms and a drinking faucet.
– Oak Meadow Park or Vasona County Park
Parking, restrooms, playgrounds, picnic areas and trail access.
