October 20, 2015 Council Agenda is Now Available Online


The agenda for the October 20, 2015 Town Council meeting is available online.  Town Council meetings are held regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street. 

To provide input on any Town Council agenda item, please visit the Public Guide to Town Council Meetings to learn more about how members of the public may submit comments via email, postal mail or hand-delivered prior to the Council meeting at which the item will be considered.

POP- IN & PARTICIPATE 
Town of Los Gatos Open House
Saturday, October 24th, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.


The Town of Los Gatos invites you to “Pop-in & Participate” in an open house on Saturday, October 24th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at your Town Hall, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos. 

The open house is designed to welcome residents and community members to Town Hall, meet and speak with your Council Members and Town Leaders, including the Town Manager, Town Police Officers, Code Compliance Officer and the Town’s Park Services Officer.  Tours of Town Hall will be provided as well as information on a variety of Town services. 

Please bring your families and enjoy the bear hunt Storywalk, Story time and various arts, crafts and games for the kids.  Residents and community members are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy on lawn during the festivities.

Apply to be the Town of Los Gatos
2016-2018 Poet Laureate

The Town of Los Gatos is currently accepting applications for a Poet Laureate. The application deadline is November 2, 2015.  This prestigious position serves a two-year term as the ambassador of poetry and the literary arts for the community.

Poet Laureate Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be available to present and to provide poems for significant civic openings or Town celebrations during the two-year appointment.
  • Incorporate in-person and multi-media efforts to advocate for the appreciation and advancement of poetry and the literary arts.
  • Visit schools and attend Town functions as needed.
  • Undertake a significant cultural project with resonance to the Town and the lifestyle of Los Gatos.

There could be a wide variety of projects. Past examples include:

  • Coordinate and host poetry readings at local public venues
  • Establish poetry slams at local schools
  • Arrange for a published collection of Los Gatos poetry
