Town of Los Gatos

Volunteers Needed to Serve on an Ad Hoc Citizen Committee

Please note: The information included in the September 18, 2015 Los Gatos Weekly article provided incorrect information for applying to serve on the Ad Hoc Citizen Committee. Please reference the correct information below to apply.

The Town of Los Gatos is seeking Town residents (who live in the incorporated areas of Los Gatos) interested in serving on an Ad Hoc Citizen Committee to evaluate and provide recommendations to the Town Council regarding potential revenue sources that require voter approval (i.e., utility taxes and an increase to the Town’s Transient Occupancy Tax).

Candidates must be present for interviews with the Town Council on October 20, 2015. The Council will appoint three (3) resident representatives to serve with two (2) Council Members on a new Ad Hoc Citizen Committee.  The 5-member Committee will meet from November 2015 to August 2016 to work with staff to study the issues, seek public input (including a community survey), and report back to Council with recommendations and drafted ballot language, if any.  The public meetings will be held in the Town Council Chambers beginning in November.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE AT THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE BY:
5:00 P.M., FRIDAY,  OCTOBER 9, 2015

Applications are available in the Town Clerk’s Office at 110 E. Main Street or can be downloaded from the Town Website
