September 13, 2017 Planning Commission Agenda
is Now Available Online The agenda for the September 13, 2017 Planning Commission meeting is available online. The Planning Commission will consider changes to Chapter 29 (Zoning Regulations) of the Town code regarding fences, hedges, and walls, particularly in the Hillside Area.
Planning Commission meetings are held regularly on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street. Commission meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15. Live and archived videos are also available online.
To provide input on any Planning Commission agenda item, please visit the Public Guide to Town Council Meetings to learn more about how members of the public may submit comments via email, postal mail or hand-delivered prior to the Commission meeting at which the item will be considered.

Join the Community Emergency Response TeamThe Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact the area and trains them in basic disaster response skills. Some of these disaster response skills include fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responsers can rely on during disaster situations. Through CERT, the capabilities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters is built and enhanced.
How can you help? Join the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno CERT!
In October, the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department and County Fire will begin hosting a CERT Academy. In order to be a CERT member you must go through this training. Below is the training schedule:

Screen on the Green: MoanaFriday, September 15th
Join us at Oak Meadow Park for a free night of family fun. Our featured film will be shown on a large inflatable movie screen near the bandstand. The fun will begin at 6:00 p.m. with children’s activities followed by showtime at approximately 7:30 p.m. when the sun goes down. North 40 Specific Plan Study Session
The Town Council will conduct a Study Session on October 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers immediately following the regular business items. The purpose is for the Council to listen to public testimony and to provide direction on potential amendments to the North 40 Specific Plan that do not require changes to the Town's Housing Element or any additional environmental, economic, or other analysis. These parameters were established by the Town Council on September 27, 2016. The staff report for the Study Session is expected to be published on September 28, 2017.

Interested in Proposed Development in Town?
Visit the Town’s Pending Planning Projects site at: www.losgatosca.gov/2378/L. From this site, you can search for planning applications by street name and address, or by clicking on the map option. The information for projects includes a brief description, project planner, date filed, and status. Some projects include images/plans and other related documents for information only. For example, a new proposal was filed in late February for 16212 Los Gatos Blvd. (at the corner of Shannon). By visiting the Pending Planning Projects, you can click on the development plans and see the new proposal for this location.
