General Plan Advisory Committee Meeting
The first meeting of the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) will be on August 7, 2008. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Neighborhood Center, located at 208 E. Main Street. Staff has invited Don Weden to make a presentation entitled “Winds of Change: Adapting our communities to the changing realities of the 21st century.” Mr. Weden, a retired Santa Clara County Principal Planner, has over 34 years of experience conducting planning studies and developing General Plans and Housing Elements. Wonders of our Water Works
The San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant plays a vital role in protecting and preserving San Francisco Bay and is embarking on a Master Plan process to enhance its faciliites and equipment. The Plant serves the cities of San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, and other unincorporated areas is conducting free facility bus tours May - August. Learn how water that is used in homes, schools, and businesses, which amounts to more than 110 million gallons per day - is cleaned to almost drinking water standards!
